Services

  • Representation

We provide representation in various forms, such as negotiations, alternate dispute resolution methods (mediation, arbitration, etc.), and litigation.

We are mindful of how damaging going to court can be for your family. That’s why out-of-court negotiation is often the first step in every case. In fact, many cases resolve without involving court.

If negotiation fails, there are other forms of dispute resolution that does not involve court. For example, mediation is a voluntary process where an impartial professional facilitates discussion and encourage settlement. Another example is arbitration, which is a voluntary process where a skilled arbitrator hears your argument/evidence and resolve disputes just like a judge would.

It’s important to keep in mind that all out-of-court settlement options are voluntary and cannot be imposed. Going to court is the only way to compel someone to engage in your matter. If your spouse/partner is unwilling to engage, going to court may be the only option.

  • Litigation

While private settlements are always favoured, sometimes, going to court is the only way forward.

Litigation involves going to court to resolve a dispute. For many, this will be their first interaction with the court system, and we understand how intimidating it can be. We have extensive litigation experience to help you through the process and ensure that you feel confident and comfortable at every step.

Every family law case is unique and there is, unfortunately, no “one-size-fits-all” solution. That is why we approach each case with a personalized plan that takes into account your specific situation and needs. We'll work with you to come up with a strategy that works best for you and your goals.

  • Consult / Opinion

Sometimes, an opinion and/or advice is all you need.

This service may be particularly useful if you need direction on legal issues but do not require full representation. We provide personalized and strategic advice to help you understand your legal rights and make informed decisions.

Before every consultation, you will have a chance to provide as much information as you want, which will be reviewed in advance to ensure a productive consultation.

  • Unbundled Services

Sometimes, you just need help with specific aspects of your case.

With unbundled legal services, you can choose the services you need and manage other tasks on your own.

Our unbundled services include legal advice, legal coaching, document drafting and review, court representation, and more. This flexible approach allows you to “pick-and-choose” the specific service(s) you need - this option is also appealing to those looking for a more cost-effective option than full-service representation.
